REQUIREMENTS
Indicator shall be as specified on figure 1 and in table I.
A manually actuated reset button shall be provided to reactivate the warning signal after maximum signaling point has been reached. The location of the reset button is optional.
The signal window shall be .250 ± .0625 inch (6.35mm ± 1.59mm) high and shall extend a minimum of
180° around the frontal circumference of the case.
The indicator shall operate in the upright or inclined position. The operating mechanism shall be shielded against oil, dust and moisture.

One each of the following fittings shall be furnished with each air cleaner restriction indicator.
a. Connector, Flared Tube, Male Pipe End: .250 Tube, .125 - 27 NPT Pipe, SAE J5124-2010102B. b. Connector, with built in safety filter,
(See figure 2, .250 tube, .125-27 NPT pipe, SAE J5124-2010102B modified).
Marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-130 and shall include the following data:
a. Air cleaner restriction indicator
b. Maximum signaling point (in water)
c. MS PIN
d. Manufactures PIN
e. Manufactures name or CAGE code
An instruction sheet, covering installation and operating procedures, shall be furnished with each indicator.
Gasket shall be of a suitable non-metallic material conforming to the requirements of ASTM F36. Referenced documents shall be the latest revision in effect on date of invitation for bid.
For design feature purposes, this standard takes precedence over procurement documents referenced herein.
Changes from previous issue. Marginal notations are not used in this revision to identify changes due to the extent of the changes.
